22. Choosing the right membership plan

Seller Help
  • Veiled Market has three membership plans, each ideal for some traders, this guide will help choose the best for you
  • Any of the Veiled Market membership plans are more affordable than running an independent web site, which has a minimum cost of £15 a month for basic costs, and often far more. Unless there is a real need for your own web site you should consider the option of saving a lot of money and opening a shop on Veiled Market instead.
  • All the membership plans benefit from the advertising and traffic generation the market provides for additional charge, to do this independently would be a significant cost.
  • All Veiled Market plans have zero listing, and relisting fees, so it costs nothing to add a new product, and you do not need to relist after you have sold a product.
  • Gold Membership is an annual subscription plan where you pay no commission on sales, you pay £45 a year which equates to only £3.75 a month. The plan gives you unlimited products and all market facilities.
  • Silver Membership is a monthly subscription plan where you pay no commission on sales, you pay £5 a month. The plan gives you unlimited products and all market facilities.
  • Bronze Membership is a subscription free plan where you pay 7.5% commission on all sales. The plan allows up to 20 products and gives you the essential market facilities.

Gold Annual Membership Plan

  • If you are confident you will be trading for at least a year then this plan gives you substantial savings over the Silver plan.
  • If you sell high value items then this can be cheaper than the Bronze plan where you pay 7.5% commission on each sale.
  • If you plan to sell larger volumes of low value items then this can be cheaper than the Bronze plan where you pay 7.5% commission on each sale.
  • If you have more than 20 products with many images for each then Bronze is not a viable option, so it is a straight choice between this or Silver
  • The Gold plan simplifies your finances as there is a single fixed cost per year, no commission or additional fees to worry about
  • The Gold plan is ideal for:
    • Established traders who are confident they will be trading long term
    • Traders who want the lowest monthly fixed cost plan
    • Traders with more than 20 products
    • Traders who sell high value items .

  • If you plan to sell larger volumes of low value items then this may be cheaper than the Bronze plan where you pay 7.5% commission on each sale.
  • If you have more than 20 products with many images for each then Bronze is not a viable option, so it is a straight choice between this or Gold
  • The Silver plan allows you to predict your monthly costs as there is only a single monthly charge, no commission to worry about
  • The Silver plan is ideal for:

Bronze Subscription Free Membership Plan

  • Ideal if you are a new business as there are no fixed charges, however you must remember the 7.5% commission on each sale.

  • If you have less than 20 products  and need up to 3 images per product this can be the ideal option
  • If you choose Bronze, monitor the commission you pay, once the cost rises above the price of the Silver or Gold plans it would be wise to consider upgrading.
  • Bronze plan traders can upgrade at any time to either Gold or Silver
  • The Bronze plan is ideal for:
    • New traders just starting their business
    • Traders with less than 20 products
